The MP series industrial grade Profibus bus fiber optic modem can achieve the interconnection of Profibus bus devices on optical fibers. MP212 provides one Profibus bus terminal and one 100Base FX full duplex single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic interface; MP222 provides one Profibus bus terminal and two 100Base FX full duplex single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic interfaces. The MP series supports point-to-point, point to multipoint relay, star and ring network working modes, and supports any speed from 0 to 12Mbps. Using multimode optical fiber, the effective communication distance can reach up to 2Km, and the longest distance can reach 5km; Using single-mode fiber, the effective communication distance can reach up to 20Km, and the longest distance can reach 120Km. By using optical fiber as the transmission medium, it can safely, rapidly, and over long distances communicate in harsh industrial environments such as lightning, surges, and electromagnetic interference.
